Tequila Sunrise
A sunrise you build, not stir.
Tequila and orange juice with grenadine sunk to the bottom so it rises in a red-to-orange dawn — do not stir, ever.
Ingredients
- Tequila45 ml
- Fresh Orange Juice90 ml
- Grenadine Syrup15 ml
Garnish
Garnish with half orange slice.
Method
- 1Pour tequila and orange juice directly into a highball glass filled with ice.
- 2Add the grenadine so it sinks to create the sunrise effect — do not stir.
The lesson
The gradient is the recipe: grenadine's density makes it sink and bleed upward. Some drinks are assembled, never mixed.
