Tequila, lime and grapefruit soda with a pinch of salt — the everyday highball Mexico actually drinks.
Ingredients
- 100% Agave Tequila50 ml
- Fresh Lime5 ml
- A pinch of Salt
- Pink Grapefruit Soda100 ml
Garnish
Garnish with a slice of lime.
Method
- 1Pour the tequila into a highball glass, squeeze the lime juice.
- 2Add ice and salt, fill up with pink grapefruit soda. Stir gently.
The lesson
Salt isn't only for rims: a pinch in the liquid suppresses bitterness and lifts sweetness. Seasoning applies to drinks too.
